The craze of buying property in Dubai is continuously increasing among the rich people around the world. 29 thousand 700 people from India own 35 thousand properties in Dubai. Their value is Rs 1.42 lakh crore. This report has been prepared by 74 media houses from 58 countries on the basis of data received by the Center for Advanced Defense Studies.

The report has been named ‘Dubai Unlocked’. In this, details of property of foreigners in Dubai till 2020-22 have been shared. According to the report, the names of Indians are at the top of this list. Pakistan is at second place in terms of wealth. 17 thousand people here own about 23 thousand properties. Their total value is Rs 91.8 thousand crores.

Citizens of Britain are at third place in the list and Saudi Arabia is at fourth place. According to the report, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani has property worth Rs 2 thousand crores in Dubai. Lulu Group Chairman MA Yusuf Ali and his family have property worth Rs 585 crore.

Billionaire Gautam Adani’s brother’s name is also in this list. Apart from this, Bollywood stars like Shahrukh Khan, Anil Kapoor and Shilpa Shetty also own properties worth crores of rupees in Dubai. According to the report, as of 2022, foreigners have total assets worth $160 billion in Dubai.

Zardari got a penthouse worth Rs 2.74 thousand crores
These include politicians, celebrities, businessmen accused of corruption across the world and also people against whom many criminal cases are registered. In Pakistan, which is struggling with economic crisis, names ranging from President Asif Ali Zardari to former Army Chief General Pervez Musharraf are included in this list.

According to the report, in March 2014, a person named Abdul Ghani Majid had gifted a penthouse in Dubai to Zardari. Its value then is Rs 2.74 thousand crores. Later the President gifted this property to his daughter.

Zardari’s son and former Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto also owns property in Dubai. Apart from them, Nawaz Sharif’s son Hussain Nawaz Sharif, Home Minister Mohsin Naqvi, many MPs and MLAs also own properties worth crores in Dubai.

Hezbollah-Huti fighters also own property worth crores
Japanese media Nikkei Asia, quoting Dubai Unlocked report, said that members of many terrorist organizations in Dubai also have assets worth millions of crores. These include the names of Houthi rebels and members of the Hezbollah organization operating from Lebanon.

Ali Osiran, accused of money laundering for the Hezbollah organization, owns a property in Burj Khalifa. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards also own property in Dubai. This list also includes the names of 1,000 people from Japan who are accused of doing illegal things.

Price of a building in Burj Khalifa increased by 55% in 3 years
The world’s real estate market is growing rapidly. According to British property consultancy firm Knight Frank, there was a three-fold increase in house prices here in the year 2020. The price of a building in Burj Khalifa has increased by 55% since 2021.

431 houses worth $ 10 million (about Rs 83.49 crore) were sold in Dubai in 2023. This is the highest compared to any other city in the world. In this case, London is at second place with 240 houses and New York is at third place with the sale of 211 houses.

By purchasing a property worth Rs 4.5 crore in Dubai from 2022 onwards, one can easily get a long term visa here. Following this change in visa rules, Dubai real estate recorded a growth of 76.5% in purchase value and 44.7% in number in 2022. The number of investors in the real estate sector increased by 53% in just one year, which was a record.
