American MP Lindsey Graham has said that Israel will have to protect its existence at all costs.
Amidst the Israel-Hamas war, American MP Lindsey Graham has said that Israel should take every step so that it can win the war. Speaking to American media NBC News, Graham said, “When America saw the devastation after the Pearl Harbor attack in the Second World War, we dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima-Nagasaki, Japan and ended the war.”
Graham said, “Israel should do the same. America should give the Jewish country the bombs it needs to end the war. Israel cannot lose this war at any cost. Nuclear attack on Japan was the right decision. Now Israel also has to give its Such decisions have to be taken to protect existence.”
The American lawmaker also criticized the US government for stopping the shipment of 2 thousand pound bombs to Israel. The MP said that Palestinians cannot be saved amid the attack on Hamas in Gaza. This is because Hamas is using them as shields.

‘America should erase Iran from the map’
This is not the first time that Republican Party MP Lindsey Graham has made such a controversial statement. Even before this, Graham had given controversial statements many times. In December 2023, he had asked US President Joe Biden to erase Iran from the world map.

America stopped a large consignment of weapons
In fact, just a few days ago America had stopped a consignment of dangerous bombs being sent to Israel. President Joe Biden had said that America is against Israel’s ongoing operation in Rafah. If Israel targets civilians in Rafah, the US will stop the arms shipment.
According to the Times of Israel report, Biden had said that Israel would have to choose between military operations in Rafah and American weapons. However, despite America’s opposition, Israel’s military operation continues in Rafah.

35 thousand Palestinians died in the war, Israel is attacking Rafah

Israel argues that they have so far eliminated 24 battalions of Hamas. But still 4 battalions are hiding in Rafa. To eliminate them, it is necessary to conduct an operation in Rafah.
On the other hand, many countries around the world including America are opposing the attack on Rafa. Demonstrations were also held in universities of American and many European countries in April against the Israeli bombing. During this, the students also demanded the creation of a separate Palestinian state.
America’s veto on Palestine’s membership in UN
About a month ago, a proposal was made in the UNSC to grant full membership of the UN to Palestine. In the 15-member Security Council, 12 votes were cast in favor of Palestine, while Britain and Switzerland abstained. But due to America’s veto, Palestine could not get the status of a separate country.
After this, this proposal was presented in the UN General Assembly on 10 May. Of the 193 UN member states, 143 voted in favor of Palestine, while 9 voted against it. The protesting countries included America and Israel. After this Palestine qualified to become a member of the United Nations. India also voted in favor of this resolution.
