Premiere in Homestead, double-header in Monaco, Berlin stays

Formula E has presented its provisional racing calendar for the 2025 season. With 17 races, it would be the most extensive in the history of the electric racing series. Despite some changes, one thing remains the same: Berlin will continue to be the German home of Formula E and will also have a double-header next year (July 12/13, 2025).

Since its debut, the Electric World Championship has been hosted in Germany’s capital. However, Berlin is moving back a little in the calendar after the races were held in mid-May this year. The double-header in Tempelhof will be the penultimate race weekend of the 2025 season before the finale in London (26/27 July 2025).

Formula E calendar: Return to Miami

The most important changes to the 2025 Formula E calendar, which will be contested with the revised Gen3 Evo cars: The season will start for the first time in Sao Paulo (December 7, 2024), while the race in Mexico City (January 11, 2025) will move to second place. Formula E will also celebrate its return to Miami, Florida (April 12, 2025).

However, instead of racing on a temporary course in the famous US seaside town as in Season 1, the E-Series is moving to Homestead, just under an hour away. The NASCAR and IndyCar series usually race at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. The permanent race track will replace Portland as the venue in the United States in the future.

Formula E gets double-header in Monaco

Exciting: The annual race in Monaco is being expanded to a double-header for the first time. On Saturday, May 3rd and Sunday, May 4th, Formula E will hold its seventh and eighth races of the season in the principality. Until now, the Monaco ePrix has always taken place on a Saturday.

Further double races are planned in Saudi Arabia at a new location, in Tokyo, Shanghai, Berlin and London. Single races are planned in Sao Paulo, Mexico City, Homestead and Jakarta. No venue has yet been announced for a race planned for March 8, 2025. This should happen before ratification by the World Motor Sport Council.

The official pre-season tests will continue to take place in Valencia, Spain (November 4-7, 2024). At the Circuit Ricardo Tormo, all teams will drive together for the first time with the new Gen3 Evo cars, which will replace the current cars after two years in use.
