Telugu filmmaker Charan Tej Uppalapati is soon going to make his directorial debut in Bollywood. His high-budget action-thriller film will feature actors like Kajol, Prabhu Deva and Naseeruddin Shah.
Through this film, Kajol and Prabhu Deva will work together after 27 years. Earlier, both of them had worked together in the Tamil film ‘Minsara Kanavu’ released in 1997, which was released in Hindi with the title ‘Sapne’.
Apart from Kajol and Prabhu Deva, actors like Samyukta Menon, Jisshu Sengupta and Aditya Seal will also work in Charan’s film. The shooting of the first schedule of the film has been completed. The makers are going to release its teaser soon.

The first schedule was shot in Hyderabad and Mumbai
Talking about the film, director Charan said, ‘I was writing this story for a long time. Now finally I will make my Bollywood debut with it. We have completed shooting its first schedule in Hyderabad and Mumbai and soon we will release its teaser.’

‘I wanted to challenge myself’
Charan further said- ‘I could have easily made this film in Telugu but I wanted to challenge myself so I decided to make it in Hindi. The story of this film is woven around the relationship between parents and children.
Through this, we will try to show how parents feel after their children leave them. We will also dub it and release it in all South Indian languages.’

‘Sapne’ ran in theatres for 175 days
Kajol and Prabhu Deva had earlier worked together in ‘Sapne’, released on 14 January 1997. This film was a superhit in the South and ran in theatres for 175 days. Its songs were composed by AR Rahman which were superhits. This was Kajol’s Tamil debut film. Actor Arvind Swami also appeared in an important role in the film. The film won many awards.
