Sanjay Dutt, who was seen doing a cameo in the Hindi film Jawan, was a part of the third film of the Velmak franchise, Welcome to the Jungle. He had also started shooting for the film, however now he has left the film due to health problems.
According to a recent Pinkvilla report, Sanjay Dutt is no longer a part of Akshay Kumar, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandes starrer film Welcome to the Jungle. Quoting a source related to film making, the report says that Sanjay Dutt has left the film due to health problem. Sanjay Dutt had started shooting for the film in Mud Island some time ago. He shot only for one day and then left the film. According to some other reports, Sanjay had shot for 15 days.
Sanjay Dutt was going to have some action scenes in the film Welcome to the Jungle, but due to health problem, Sanjay could not do action. Obviously the makers will now start looking for Sanjay Dutt’s replacement, which may affect the shooting schedule.
The film was announced in 2023
In December 2023, Akshay Kumar had announced the film Welcome to the Jungle through his official Instagram handle. A poster of the film was also released, showing the star cast. According to the poster, the film stars Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandes, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Rajpal Yadav in important roles. Ahmed Khan is directing the film.
Sanjay Dutt shot the film in December
On December 21, 2023, Akshay Kumar shot the film with Sanjay Dutt. He also shared a video from the set on his social media account, in which he was riding a horse, while Sanjay Dutt was chasing him on a bike. Along with this video, Akshay had written, What a beautiful coincidence that today 16 years of the film Welcome are completed and today itself I am shooting the third film of this franchise. Welcome to the Jungle and welcoming Sanju Baba in the film is also wonderful.
