A statement has been issued by Sahara India Pariwar regarding film maker Hansal Mehta’s upcoming series Scam 2010- The Subrata Roy Saga. It has been said in the statement that announcing the series in the name of Subrata Roy is an insulting and petty act.

For this, they will take legal action against the producer and director who made the series. It was said in the statement that Subrata Roy’s case is still pending in the court, in such a situation how can he be shown negatively without any decision? The makers have tried to tarnish the reputation of a man who is not in this world to present his side.

Let us tell you, two days ago director Hansal Mehta announced the third part of the Scam series. It was told in the motion poster that this time the story of Subrata Roy’s scam will be shown. Sahara India family has raised objection regarding this.

‘The makers have used Subrata Roy’s name for cheap publicity. Everyone knows that Sahara’s case is currently going on with SEBI. Even the Supreme Court has not yet come to any conclusion. Making a series on this without any decision is in itself contempt of court.

One’s image cannot be tampered with in the name of freedom of speech and expression. That too of a person who is not in this world to present his side. Using scam word for props in the series is a criminal act. Sahara India family has not cheated anyone.

Subrata Roy died on 14 November 2023.

Hansal Mehta had announced the series
Hansal Mehta had announced the third part of the scam series on May 16. He told through tweet that this time he will bring the story of Subrata Roy Sahara. Hansal started the scam series in 2020. In the first part, he showed the story of Harshad Mehta, while in the second part, the story was based on the mastermind of stamp scam, Abdul Karim Telgi.

Hansal Mehta is a well-known film director.

Case against Subrata Roy for scam of Rs 24000 crore
Subrata Roy Sahara started the business in 1978 with Rs 2,000. Within no time he created an empire worth billions. At one time Sahara was one of the largest private companies in the country. People used to invest their money in this company.

In 2014, the Supreme Court had asked Subrata Roy to return Rs 24,400 crore to investors. Subrata Roy died on 14 November 2023. The people working in his company used to call him Sahara Shri.
