Who is showing the Spa race on TV and live stream?

The WEC will be in Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium (May 9-11). 37 racing cars – 19 hypercars from nine manufacturers and 18 GT3 cars – will line up on the Formula 1 circuit for the third round of the 2024 season. Porsche travels to Spa as the world championship leader and takes on, among others, Imola winner Toyota, Ferrari, BMW, Alpine with Mick Schumacher and Co.

The WEC race in Spa-Francorchamps starts this Saturday, May 11th at 1:00 p.m. and covers a distance of six hours. The finish line will therefore take place today at 7:00 p.m. You can find the exact schedule at the end of the article.

Who is broadcasting WEC in Spa on free TV today?

Where is the WEC on TV today? Viewers in Germany cannot follow the race in Spa-Francorchamps live on free TV, but can at least watch parts of it live. The sports channel Sport1 will be joining the action live today from 5:00 p.m., four hours after the start of the race. The broadcast runs until 7:30 p.m. including the finish line.

WEC fans in Germany can watch 2 of the 6 hours of racing on free-to-air television on Sport1. Peter Kohl and Constantin Eckner commentate, Anna Dollak is the presenter.

WEC summary and highlights at Eurosport

Eurosport also has rights to the WEC, but does not show the races outside of Le Mans on free TV (Eurosport 1). Eurosport 1 will broadcast the Spa race on the night of Sunday, May 12th from 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. and later in the day from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. as a highlight summary on free TV.

Only on the paid Eurosport 2 offer will the WEC race in Spa-Francorchamps be running live today from 12:30 p.m. to 2:50 p.m. and from 4:15 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. In between, Eurosport 2 shows the Formula E race in Berlin. Patrick Simon, Lukas Gajewski and Uwe Winter are on the microphone as commentators for Eurosport.

WEC race 2024 in the live stream

The only opportunity for viewers from Germany to watch all WEC races in 2024 live is the Paid live stream of the WEC. 8.99 euros are due per race (except Le Mans), including training and qualifying. Spectators only pay 17.99 euros for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The season pass with all eight races costs 59.99 euros.
