Aleix Espargaro quits
It had been hinted at, and now it is official: Aleix Espargaro will not be renewing his expiring Aprilia contract and will instead end his career as a full-time MotoGP rider. The Frenchman announced a quick decision regarding his future and kept his word. He has signed his contract with Yamaha has extended its contract by two years, including the 2026 MotoGP season. Fabio Quartararo will remain a Blue, and all rumors of a transfer have been dashed.

Ducati grabs Aldeguer
The rumors already existed at the end of 2023, now they have come true: Moto2 shooting star
Fermin Aldeguer will move to the MotoGP class from 2025. The 18-year-old has signed with Ducati for two years. However, he will not be promoted directly to the Reds’ factory team, but will initially be loaned to a customer team. Official confirmation is still pending, but Aldeguer will most likely drive for Pramac Racing in 2025 and 2026.

Bagnaia extends his contract with Ducati
It was an open secret anyway, now the official announcement was made.
Francesco Bagnaia remains loyal to the Ducati team and extends his contract, which expires at the end of 2024, by two years. The reigning double world champion will thus compete for the reds up to and including the 2026 MotoGP season.

Marini moves to the Honda factory team
After it was announced during the season finale in Valencia that
Luca Marini would leave VR46 despite a valid contract, Honda officially confirmed the Italian’s commitment on Monday. Valentino Rossi’s half-brother signs until 2025 and will succeed Marc Marquez.

Zarco goes to the LCR Honda team
The Frenchman will leave the Pramac team in 2024 to join Lucio Cecchinello, as he will be given a two-year contract there. Ducati only offered him one more year.
Johann Zarco will therefore drive for LCR Honda until at least 2025.
