“Rani Mukherjee’s ‘Mehendi’ Possibly Getting Remake After 26 Years?”

New Delhi. TV sensation and Sumbul Tauqeer’s rumored boyfriend Fahman Khan is the younger brother of late actor Faraz Khan. Faraz Khan got popularity from the film ‘Mehndi’ released in the year 1998. In this his opposite was Rani Mukherjee. The film was a hit. This film did a great job. Fahman remembered his brother and talked about the sequel and remake of ‘Mehendi’. When Fahman was asked whether he would like to play the role of his late brother in the remake of ‘Mehndi’, he said that he did not know.

Speaking to IANA, Fahman said, “I don’t know whether I would like to replace him or not. He did a wonderful job and I would love to keep that film only for him.” On the question of acting in the remake of ‘Mehndi’, he said, “If you get it, no one will refuse.”

Fahman Khan further said, “But, only if I can live up to the work he has done. If I can do even a little justice to that character like him, then maybe I can do it.” Fahman came into limelight when Sumbul Tauqeer came as a contestant in ‘Bigg Boss OTT 2’. He had come to support him.

Faraz Khan’s luck shined with ‘Mehendi’

Let us tell you, ‘Mehndi’ was directed by Hamid Ali Khan. In this, Faraz played the character of a boy named Niranjan Chaudhary, who is greedy. He misbehaves with his wife regarding dowry. Faraz started his acting career with Vikram Bhatt’s 1996 film ‘Fareb’. After this he was seen in films like ‘Prithvi’, ‘Mehndi’ and ‘Chand Bujh Gaya’.

Faraz Khan dies due to chest infection

He was also seen on TV in shows like ‘Achanak 37 Saal Baad’ and ‘Lipstick’. He was last seen in the 2008 show ‘Neeli Aankhen’. Faraz died in 2020 at the age of 50 due to increasing chest infection. His birth anniversary is on 27th May.
