‘Bhaiya Ji’ is the 100th film of actor Manoj Bajpayee’s career. For the first time, the actor has appeared in a tremendous action avatar in this film. Today this film has been released in theatres. Dainik Bhaskar has given this film a rating of 2 stars out of 5.

What is the story of the film?

The story of this film is set in the background of Sitamarhi in Bihar. Manoj Bajpayee has played the character of Ram Charan Tripathi in the film, whom people call Bhaiya Ji. Bhaiya Ji once had a lot of influence in Bihar politics. His spade has freed thousands of criminals from the world. But Bhaiya Ji now wants to leave everything and get married and live a decent life. Meanwhile, his younger brother is murdered in Delhi. To avenge his brother’s death, Bhaiya Ji comes to Delhi from Bihar and the cat and mouse game begins.

How is the acting of the star cast?

There is no doubt that Manoj Bajpayee has impressed with his strong acting and action. He has not been seen in such an action avatar before. He has tried to do complete justice to his character. Zoya Hussain, who plays Manoj Bajpayee’s lady love, seems to be overshadowing him in the action scenes. On the other hand, Suvinder Vicky and Jatin Goswami did not do well in negative roles. Vipin Sharma tries to tickle the audience with his character, but that too seems artificial.

How is the direction?

The weakest link of this film is its direction. Apoorv Singh Karki, who had earlier directed ‘Sirf Ek Banda Kaafi Hai’ with Manoj Bajpayee, has directed this film. The story of the film is very weak. The audience has already seen many such stories based on revenge in Paheli. The screenplay of the film is scattered from beginning to end.

Within a minute of the film starting, one can guess what turn the story is going to take next. Barring a few dialogues, all the dialogues seem clichéd. The story of the film has a Bihari touch and a Delhi-Haryana touch. But after watching the action scenes of the film, it feels like we are watching a South Indian film. The cinematography of the film is also weak.

How is the music?

The story of the film is set in the background of Bihar. Therefore, the songs of the film have been sung by Bhojpuri singers. But apart from Manoj Tiwari’s songs ‘Bagh Ke Kareja’ and ‘Kaune Janam Ke Badla’, no other song has been able to make an impact. The background music of the film is ordinary.

Final Verdict, Watch or Not?

If you are a fan of Manoj Bajpayee and want to see him in a tremendous action avatar for the first time, then you can watch the film. Anyway, the film will be released on OTT after some time. It is up to you to decide where to watch the film.
