Janhvi Kapoor is in the news these days for her upcoming film ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’. This film is going to be released on 31st May. Janhvi told during an interview how the sudden death of her mother and late actress Sridevi changed her perspective and made her more religious.
During an interview with The Lallantop, Janhvi said- Earlier I did not believe in some things like- do not wash hair on Fridays. Do not wear black clothes on Sundays. But after mother left, I don’t know what happened, I started believing in everything. Earlier we believed in worship because mother did it. But after her death, my perspective changed. I started getting interested in worship. I became more aware about Hinduism.
Overall, Janhvi believes that she has become more religious than before. She often goes to visit Tirupati Balaji. Talking about this, she said- Maa had a different connection with Balaji. After her death, I decided that I will go there on every birthday of hers. When I went there, I became very emotional. Then I thought that before every big work, I will come here and climb the stairs of Balaji.
Janhvi not only loves going to Balaji but also climbs the stairs every time. She says that whenever she gets something very easily, she feels that she does not deserve it.
Janhvi Kapoor spoke on nepotism
Janhvi said that she wants to prove herself. She says, I agree that I got a chance in the industry easily. But I want to work so hard that I can justify that no one else can work this hard. Along with this, I also have to convince myself that I have not replaced anyone. Whatever I have got is due to my hard work. Janhvi does not want people to think that she got this because she is Boney Kapoor or Sridevi’s daughter.
