In 2010, Anil Kapoor worked in the American series ’24’. Anil was very impressed with the concept of this series. This is why in 2011, the actor bought the rights of this series from Fox Production. For which he paid an amount of about 120 crores. He wanted to make a Hindi language series of ’24’ in his home production.
After getting rejections from many channels, the actor sold his rights to Colors channel for Rs 150 crores. At the same time, he decided to produce it himself.
In 2013, Anil Kapoor made his debut on the small screen with the show ’24’.

Unfortunately, the first season of the show, which premiered in 2013, did not even make it to the top 20 shows in TRP ratings. Whereas the American series had already had 9 seasons and was made a superhit by foreign audiences. Three years later, in 2016, the actor returned with season 2 of the series. However, his second attempt also failed. Anil tried to change the taste of the Indian audience, but he failed.
Anil Kapoor’s suspense thriller show was rejected by Indian TV viewers. After suffering huge losses, the channel dropped the idea of the third season. The channel had to suffer huge losses due to this decision.

He wanted to do the show but in the meantime his own show ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ started, then there was Jaideep Ahlawat, Pankaj Tripathi. I also met Ratna Pathak Shah, she also came. We have all come a long way now.”
The actor further said, ‘Whether people accept it or not, they have tremendous respect for the show. 24 also gave so many technicians to the industry. All of them have made a name for themselves. It was a kind of pool for the industry.’
