After Oscar Gutierrez’s debut victory in race 1 on Saturday afternoon, Kevin Zannoni can now also call himself a MotoE race winner! The Aspar rider beat Gutierrez in the final lap of the 2nd Barcelona race of the electric series and catapulted himself into the lead of the World Championship, as Mattia Casadei and Nicholas Spinelli were left without any points after crashes. Lukas Tulovic crossed the finish line in ninth place.
MotoE in Barcelona – Round 2: The race film

Begin: Mattia Casadei is first to enter the first corner, followed by Kevin Zannoni ahead of Erix Granado and Oscar Gutierrez. Nicholas Spinelli is fifth, followed by Hector Garzo and Alessandro Zaccone. Lukas Tulovic jumps up to eighth place.
1 round: Zannoni presses against Casadei, but can’t find a way past. A little behind, Garzo loses sixth place to Zaccone.
2nd round: Granado takes advantage of the massive slipstream at the start/finish line and takes the lead ahead of Casadei, Zannoni and Gutierrez. Behind him, Zaccone also catches up with Tech3 teammate Spinelli.
Disaster for World Championship leader Casadei! He loses the front in turn 10 and crashes out of the race.
4th round: Gutierrez displaces Zannoni from second place, but is already almost half a second behind Granado, who dropped the hammer in the previous lap.
Now the World Championship runner-up is also in the gravel bed! Spinelli crashes in Turn 5 and cannot accept Casadei’s invitation.
5th round: Gutierrez flies past Granado with the fastest lap – and the Brazilian collapses under the pressure! He crashes at the exit of Turn 5, Gutierrez leads ahead of Zannoni and Zaccone.
7th and final round: Zannoni chases Gutierrez and shoots into the lead at the start/finish line! The victory is decided between these two drivers, Zaccone has to let go.
Finish line: Zannoni is unstoppable, he wins the 2nd MotoE race in Barcelona and celebrates his first victory in the electric racing series. Gutierrez comes second, Zaccone third. In the chasing pack, Jordi Torres prevails, Garzo takes fifth place. Then follow Andrea Mantovani, Matteo Ferrari and Miquel Pons. Lukas Tulovic comes ninth, Kevin Manfredi completes the top ten. The last points go to: 11th Roccoli, 12th Finello, 13th Herrera, 14th Davies, 15th Pontone
