Piastri is caught by Mercedes: No DRS help from Norris
The end of the race was particularly bitter for Piastri. The Australian was on course for a podium finish until six laps before the end, before Mercedes came knocking. Piastri fought off George Russell’s first big attempt with all his might. Piastri stubbornly stayed on the inside lane into the final chicane. “That’s a difficult corner there. I was on the inside. For me, it’s a difficult place to overtake.”
