Things remain extremely exciting in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The new world champion of Formula E Season 10 could already be determined at the Hankook Portland E-Prix on the west coast of the USA from June 28th to 30th.
The best chances are held by the current overall leader Nick Cassidy (167 points/Jaguar TCS Racing) and his closest rivals Pascal Wehrlein (142 points/TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team), Mitch Evans (132 points/Jaguar TCS Racing) and Oliver Rowland (131 points/Nissan Formula E Team). The high level of performance in Formula E is reflected in the overall table: mathematically, nine drivers still have a chance of winning the title before the last two double headers in 2024.

Formula E returns to Portland
The host of races 13 and 14 of the current Formula E World Championship is the US city of Portland, which has a population of around 650,000. It is the largest metropolis in the state of Oregon and is located on the Columbia and Willamette rivers, not far from the snow-capped 3,425-meter-high Mount Hood.
The 22 drivers will be competing for victory at the Portland International Raceway, which is located about ten kilometers north of the city center and has been used repeatedly by the IndyCar series over the past decades.

Hankook Motorsport Director Manfred Sandbichler: “The track surface at the Portland International Raceway is very different in some places and therefore offers different levels of grip. Concrete slabs have been installed in front of Turn 1 at the end of the start-finish straight, where the drivers reach their absolute top speed.”
Sandbichler continued: “The asphalt on the long right-hand bend after Turn 9, on the other hand, is very washed out and slippery. If the drivers manage to keep our Hankook iON Race in the optimal working window, our tire will deliver great performance to the drivers and provide them with maximum support on the track.”
