Formula E is contesting the ninth race of the 2024 season today. The first of two races of the Berlin ePrix at the former Berlin-Tempelhof Airport starts at 3:04 p.m. German time. Formula E live today: Who will broadcast the first race and qualifying in Berlin on free TV?

The race and qualifying of the Formula E in Berlin in Germany can be followed free of charge on the new TV channel DF1. The private broadcaster will broadcast the race live from 3:00 p.m. The preliminary reporting begins with a ten-minute advance at 2:50 p.m. At the start of the qualifying, which begins at 10:20 a.m., DF1 will not be broadcasting, but will only go on air at 11:00 a.m., i.e. 40 minutes after the start of the time hunt.

DF1 has taken the place of Servus TV Deutschland in the free-to-air satellite and cable network. ServusTV has secured the rights to Formula E for Germany and Austria. In a new cooperation with DF1, the races will be broadcast live on the new television channel.

In Austria, Formula E runs on ServusTV, the country’s largest private broadcaster, where, like in Monaco, the race will not be shown live. ServusTV will only broadcast the race as a re-live from 4:05 p.m.

If you can’t watch the races on TV, there are various live stream offers. DF1 shows the racing action in parallel in a free live stream on the website DF1.de.

ServusTV also broadcasts on its streaming platform called Hello TV On as well as on ServusTV Motorsport on MagentaTV.

In German-speaking countries, the Formula E races will also be broadcast live on the pay-TV channel Eurosport 2. In Germany and Austria, in addition to the races, the training and qualifying sessions can also be seen live and on demand on the discovery+ streaming service. Spectators can also watch the free training sessions on the official website official YouTube channel of Formula Eor follow the Formula E app with English-language commentary.

The Formula E offers live timing to provide viewers with more information. This year the live timing is only available via the official Formula E website in the ‘Live Race Centre’. In addition to all the times for the individual sessions, viewers will receive further information via a live ticker created by Formula E.
