The 24 Hours of Le Mans (12-16 June) is considered the most important car race in the world and is being held for the 92nd time today. More than 300,000 spectators visit the endurance classic every year, which is the fourth stop on the racing calendar of the WEC World Endurance Championship.

Finish line: Where can I watch the 24h Le Mans live on free TV today?

German motorsport fans even have two options to follow the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2024 on free TV. The RTL specialty channel Nitro and also Eurosport1 broadcast the 24-hour race today completely live with German commentary.

Nitro has been showing the WEC since 2021, but has only secured the TV rights to Le Mans for this year. The broadcast with an on-site team begins on Saturday, June 15th at 2:45 p.m. from the starting grid and ends on Sunday, June 16th at 4:45 p.m. after the finish.

At the same time, the 24 Hours of Le Mans will be broadcast live on Eurosport. The sports channel will also show the training and qualifying sessions beforehand on free TV on Eurosport 1 or behind the paywall on Eurosport 2.

This year, Sport1 will also broadcast the WEC races, which last several hours, on free TV, but only in excerpts. Sport1 does not have any television rights for the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The only opportunity for spectators from Germany to watch all WEC races live in 2024 is offered by the paid live stream of the WEC. Each race (except Le Mans) costs 8.99 euros. Spectators pay 17.99 euros for the 24 Hours of Le Mans alone, which includes the race, training and qualifying. The season pass with all eight races costs 59.99 euros.
