Austria is not the best weekend in Formula 1 to introduce updates this year. A sprint weekend, the middle GP of a triple-header, which ends with Silverstone, the home race for many teams. Accordingly, the teams have little new to offer in Spielberg. The latest update from McLaren is certainly worth mentioning. Motorsport-Magazin.com summarizes the new parts.

McLaren: A new front wing is being introduced in Austria. Its new geometry, together with a newly shaped front suspension, is intended to generate more downforce at the front in various conditions.

Mercedes: Only the beam wing is new, where the camber has been reduced. This results in less downforce and air resistance overall.

Ferraris: The latest major package was introduced in Barcelona. In Spielberg, an additional cooling gill package for the engine cover will be added in anticipation of potentially higher temperatures.

Racing Bulls: Here, too, a large package was introduced in Barcelona. It was introduced in an expedited procedure and caused problems. Damage forced the replacement of both new rear wings. The performance was disappointing. In Spielberg, both cars will test different setups in the first practice session and some will use old parts again for further comparison. The only completely new thing is the arrangement of the winglets on the rear brake cooling.

Clean: A new beam wing with only one element instead of two will be introduced for the Austrian weekend. This is primarily due to the type of track and is intended to improve aerodynamic efficiency on the long straights.

Red Bull, Aston Martin, Alpine, Williams and Haas have no new parts at all. However, many of these teams will switch to more aerodynamically efficient wings, which they have already used earlier this season, to meet the demands of the track with its long straights.
