Legends Parade in Spielberg 2024 with winners of the Austrian Grand Prix

Half a century of motorsport history will be brought to life at this year’s F1 weekend at the Red Bull Ring under the title “Austrian GP Winners”. The Legends Parade 2024 will give fans goosebumps with the engines of glorious winning cars from the Austrian Grand Prix, as well as pilots from yesteryear returning to the red-white-red site of their triumph.

The prominent cast ranges from Emerson Fittipaldi with his winning Lotus from 1972 to the RB14, with which Max Verstappen won Red Bull Racing’s home race at Spielberg for the first time in 2018. On the Super Saturday of the Austrian GP with sprint and qualifying – race action in a double pack – there will also be plenty of entertainment in the F1 Fan Zone. Winners and winning cars of the Austrian GP united at the Red Bull Ring

The undisputed highlight of the Formula 1 side event at the Red Bull Ring has been the Legends Parade since 2014. At its ninth edition at Spielberg, GP winners and winning cars from the last five decades will rock the racing asphalt. On Saturday, June 29th and Sunday, June 30th, a series of legendary cars will be responsible for teary eyes and goosebumps among the fans.

The most emotional pairing in the line-up is probably the Brazilian Emerson Fittipaldi, who returns to the race track in the heart of Styria with his 1972 winning Lotus. Also unforgettable is the 2002 Ferrari with which Michael Schumacher laid the foundation for the world championship title in what is probably the most discussed Austrian Grand Prix. None other than local F1 legend Gerhard Berger will be in the cockpit. In addition, Max Verstappen’s winning RB14 and Ronnie Peterson’s 1978 Lotus are on display in the F1 Fan Zone, where fans have the opportunity to admire all the cars in the Legends Parade 2024 up close.

“Super Saturday” with sprint and party in the F1 Fan Zone

Anyone who doesn’t manage to get a ticket for race Sunday still has the chance to take part in exciting World Championship points battles and at least as much entertainment on “Super Saturday”. This year, the premier class at Spielberg will once again feature the sprint format and thus double the race action.

On June 29, the best drivers in the world will first fight for victory in the sprint and then in qualifying for the starting grid for the 2024 Austrian GP. In the time between the sessions, entertainment will be provided in two fan zones: concerts and a legends exhibition in the F1 Fan Zone, very close to the Niki Lauda curve, and the Steiermark Village, opposite the Red Bull Wing.
