Max Verstappen is the winner of the Formula 1 race in Imola today! The Red Bull driver wins the seventh Grand Prix of the 2024 season ahead of Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc. But were these three drivers really the best of the entire race weekend? This answer often fails to provide the result. That’s what the driver ranking is for Motorsport-Magazin.com! Again in 2024 in the familiar format.

Qualifying and even training can ultimately play a significant role in the result. Regardless of the fact that in Formula 1 even the best driver can hardly compensate for a bad car. Formula 1 Imola: Rate drivers now

Of course, we also want to know again in 2024 how much you enjoyed the race itself. Now quickly rate the Emilia-Romagna GP here, then move on to the drivers.

And now to the actual task: Grade the performance of all 20 drivers here. Important: At the end click on “Send” at the bottom.

This is how the MSM driver ranking works

Long-time MSM readers already know the ranking; the now proven system of previous years will be entering its sixth year in 2024. Immediately after the finish of each Grand Prix, we call you on the race in our Formula 1 live ticker and here in the article to rate all 20 drivers. Until the next lunchtime (or longer for evening overseas races) you can evaluate what it’s worth.

The average of your grades results in a reader grade for each driver. At the same time as you, we, the MSM F1 crew around Christian Menath, Florian Niedermair and Markus Steinrisser, also grade the performances of all drivers on the weekend in question. We also create an average from our judgments – the MSM grade. The overall grade is created in the last step by taking the average of the user and MSM grades in equal parts. If there is a tie in the final ranking, the best individual grade decides.

As a little extra, each editor provides his personal hardships of the weekend by choosing and explaining which driver particularly caught his attention. Once in a positive and once in a negative sense. Online, the overall result is always 6:00 p.m. the day after the race.
