Fabio Di Giannantonio leads warm up

The best time in the MotoGP warm-up at Assen goes to Fabio Di Giannantonio. Francesco Bagnaia is beaten for the first time this weekend.

For the first time this MotoGP weekend in Assen, Francesco Bagnaia did not finish a session in first place. After the world champion set the best times in all training sessions, took pole position in qualifying and won the sprint, it was Fabio Di Giannantonio who came out on top in the warm-up on Sunday morning.

The result: Di Giannantonio was just four thousandths of a second faster than Marc Marquez in 1:32.309 minutes. Maverick Vinales finished third ahead of Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin. The top ten was completed by Enea Bastianini, Marco Bezzecchi, Franco Morbidelli, Alex Marquez and Pedro Acosta.

Aleix Espargaro did not take part in the warm-up after suffering a fracture in his metacarpal bone in the sprint on Saturday and will not start in the race. Aprilia wildcard Lorenzo Savadori, who suffered fractures in his lumbar region, is also unable to compete.

Falls, defects & incidents: There were no problems for the MotoGP riders during the ten-minute warm-up.

The weather: Assen was much greyer and more cloudy at the start of the race Sunday than in previous days. The outside temperature was 19 degrees, 27 degrees was measured on the asphalt.
