On the Events are now unfolding rapidly in the MotoGP rider market. As expected, the solution to the big Ducati question between Jorge Martin and Marc Marquez is causing a domino effect on the rider market in the premier class. After Martin’s move to Aprilia was officially announced on Monday evening, the Marquez announcement at Ducati is probably only a matter of time. And the third member of the group, Enea Bastianini, who has to vacate his place in the Ducati factory team, has apparently already sealed his future.

Carlo Pernat: Bastianini 2025 on KTM

As Carlo Pernat, who has been looking after Enea Bastianini’s business affairs for years, has now revealed, his protégé will be joining the Pierer Mobility Group next season. “Enea will be driving a factory KTM next year,” Pernat announced on the radio show Rai-Radio1. He was referring to one of the KTM RC16s in the GasGas team, which are known to be identical to those in the KTM factory team. Official confirmation of the deal is still pending.

The Pierer Mobility Group currently has two drivers under contract for the coming years: Just last weekend, the Austrians announced the contract extension with shooting star Pedro Acosta, who will be moving up to the Red Bull KTM Factory Team. Brad Binder also already has a valid contract for the coming years. The two places in the GasGas team are still open: The MotoGP contracts of Jack Miller and Augusto Fernandez expire at the end of the season.

Bastianini has been linked with Aprilia in the past, as the bosses from Noale want an Italian rider for their MotoGP project. However, after they announced the signing of world championship leader Jorge Martin on Monday evening, this option seems unlikely. Maverick Vinales is considered the favorite for second place in the Aprilia factory team.
