Alessandro Zaccone celebrates his liberation in the second MotoE race in Assen! The Tech3 rider wins for the first time since 2021 after a dominant performance and thus moves himself into the title fight. Lukas Tulovic only misses the podium by a few hundredths after a strong performance, finishing fourth behind Oscar Gutierrez and Hector Garzo. Nicholas Spinelli remains without points after a fall, and world championship leader Mattia Casadei only comes eighth.
With three race weekends to go, Casadei is now only three points ahead of Zannoni in the World Championship. Gutierrez, Garzo and Zaccone are also suddenly within striking distance again, seven, eleven and 21 points behind.

Eric Granado has to serve a long lap penalty after causing a collision in the first race.
Begin: Kevin Zannoni gets off to the best start and takes the lead on the inside lane. Alessandro Zaccone follows in second place ahead of Hector Garzo, Jordi Torres and Eric Granado. Lukas Tulovic remains in seventh place.
1 round: Zaccone regains first place with a brave maneuver in turn eight. Behind him, Nicholas Spinelli crashes out of the race in turn 7.
2nd round: Zannoni and Garzo duel hard for second place over several corners. Zaccone is able to use this duel to pull ahead by a few meters.
3rd round: Another attack from Garzo, this time successful. But the Spaniard is already more than two seconds behind Zaccone, who has run away from everyone here.
4th round: Granado turns into the long lap and drops from fifth to 13th place. Zannoni also loses third place to Torres.
5th round: Torres also immediately takes second place from Garzo, while Zannoni also falls behind Oscar Gutierrez and Tulovic.
Chaz Davies crashes at turn five.
6th and penultimate round: Things get chaotic. Gutierrez shoots up to second place. Behind him, Garzo and Torres fight hard, for which the former is ultimately penalized and has to give up a position. This goes to Tulovic, who has already passed Torres by this point. The German is suddenly in third place.
7th and final round: Garzo counterattacks in turn five and takes back third place from Tulovic.
Finish line: Zaccone wins by two seconds and takes his first MotoE victory since 2021. Behind them, Gutierrez and Garzo finish second and third. Tulovic narrowly misses the podium in fourth place. Behind him are Torres, Miquel Pons and Zannoni. Mattia Casadei does not get beyond eighth place, while Granado still finishes twelfth after his LLP.
