Race Facts: Preview Race 15
The 15th stop of the 2023 regular season is the World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway. The race track (formerly Gateway Motorsports Park and previously Gateway International Raceway) near Madison in the US state of Illinois is only appearing on the NASCAR Cup calendar for the third time.

The 1.25-mile track in Madison, just outside of St. Louis, has hosted NASCAR-sanctioned events since 1997, first with the NASCAR Xfinity Series, then with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. In 2014, the track became a permanent fixture on the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series calendar.
The unique shape of the track will be a challenge for the cars. All four corners have a different radius. The oval has an eleven degree bank in turns 1 and 2 and nine degrees in turns 3 and 4. The banking on the straights is only three degrees.
Fuel window: 65-68 laps
Goodyear Tire Notes: 9 sets of tyres (+1 set/qualifying)

Top 20 after the 15th race of the 2024 season in Charlotte
Motorsport-Magazin.com After each race, the current form of all NASCAR drivers is determined based on the results of the last six races.
Since Kyle Larson was unable to get back into his NASCAR car in Charlotte in time after his Indy 500 adventure, he lost first place in the rankings. He dropped from first to 11th place. The new leader is Brad Keselowski, who was our number one after races 27 and 28 last season.
Denny Hamlin is now in second place, ahead of William Byron, Chase Elliot and Tyler Reddick, who is in fifth place for the third time in a row. The biggest leap forward was made by Charlotte demolition winner Christopher Bell, who jumped from 20th to eighth place.
Charlotte pole setter Ty Gibbs and the surprisingly strong rookie Josh Berry also gained a few positions. Besides Larson, the losers of the week were Chase Briscoe and Noah Gragson.
Defending champion Ryan Blaney is now in last place. For the second year in a row, there were no climbers or climbers in the top 20.
