Junaid Naqi Unopposed as KATI President, Pledges Focus on Korangi Industrial Area Development

KARACHI: Renowned businessman Junaid Naqi has been elected unopposed as the President of the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI). In addition to Naqi, Ejaz Ahmed Sheikh was elected as Senior Vice President, and Syed Tariq Hussain was chosen as Vice President, ushering in a new leadership era for the influential industrial body.

Zubair Chhaya, KATI’s Deputy Patron-in-Chief, congratulated the newly elected office bearers and praised outgoing President Johar Qandhari, along with former presidents, for their dedication in elevating KATI’s reputation. Chhaya voiced confidence in Naqi’s leadership, expressing optimism that the association’s growth will continue under his guidance.

In his farewell address, Johar Qandhari expressed high hopes for Naqi’s leadership and his potential to drive further development in the Korangi Industrial Area. He emphasized Naqi’s leadership qualities and the critical role he will play in advancing KATI’s mission to support and uplift the business community.

Upon his election, Junaid Naqi expressed gratitude to Patron-in-Chief SM Tanveer, Zubair Chhaya, and other senior leaders for their trust and support. He committed to upholding the vision of the late SM Munir and working tirelessly for the industrialists and business community in Korangi. Naqi highlighted his priorities, including enhancing infrastructure and addressing key issues faced by the industrial area.

KATI’s leadership and members expressed full confidence in Naqi’s ability to effectively steer the association. They shared their expectations for him to address the ongoing challenges facing KATI while continuing the association’s legacy of progress in Karachi’s industrial sector.
