KARACHI: Justice (Retd.) Wajihauddin, Founder Chairman of “Aam Log Ittehad”, has called for a comprehensive approach to address the ongoing crisis in Balochistan, suggesting that a Grand Jirga should be convened to involve multiple stakeholders in resolving the province’s pressing issues. During a meeting held at the party office, Wajihauddin emphasized that the complexities of Balochistan’s situation cannot be addressed by a few individuals alone. A collaborative solution, involving political leaders and local communities, is crucial for long-term peace and stability in the region.
Chairman Farrukh Zia Sheikh, Chief Organizer Commodore (Retd.) Sadeed A. Malik Kashir, and Secretary Information Muhammad Sagheer Qureshi, along with other party members, were present during the meeting. Wajihauddin stressed the importance of the government’s role in playing a positive part to ensure that the deep-rooted grievances of Balochistan are addressed.
The Aam Log Ittehad is also looking to establish an official chapter in Balochistan. In this regard, Justice Wajihauddin revealed plans to meet with prominent Baloch leaders, including BNP (Mengal) chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal and Lt. Gen. (Retd) Abdul Qadir Baloch, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch, to seek their cooperation and involvement in bringing about a peaceful resolution.
“The real issue in Balochistan is the deprivation of people’s rights,” Wajihauddin stated. He pointed out the need for quality education and employment opportunities for the Baloch youth. Wajihauddin proposed that if the government is unable to provide immediate employment, a stipend should be directly provided to the youth to alleviate their economic hardships.
Echoing these sentiments, Commodore (Retd) Sadeed A. Malik urged the party members to expedite their “Contact People” campaign across the country, using social media platforms to raise awareness about the Aam Log Ittehad’s policies and the pressing regional issues, particularly those affecting Balochistan.
As the party gears up to expand its membership and outreach, its leadership remains committed to ensuring that Balochistan’s future is determined through political dialogue and meaningful action. The Grand Jirga, as proposed by Wajihauddin, aims to be a significant step towards achieving lasting peace in the province.
