According to the report, a source close to the filmmaker said, “Jee Le Zaraa was put on hold before it could move on to the pre-production phase, with the Excel team finalising the script. The film was put on hold due to the actresses’ schedules but it was not completely shelved as it was a good project for all stakeholders, from the makers to the writers and director.”

The source further added, “The script is all set and the team is now looking to revive the project. When Priyanka Chopra came to India, Farhan Akhtar spoke to her about ‘Jee Le Zara’.
