New Delhi: In the upcoming episode of celebrity chat show ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, rappers Badshah, Divine and Karan Aujla will come to promote their latest album ‘Ek Tha Raja’. During this, rapper Badshah revealed his conversation with spiritual guru Sri Sri Ravishankar. During the conversation in the episode, the show’s host Kapil Sharma shared a funny anecdote related to him and Badshah during Covid-19.
Kapil said, ‘I remember that incident. This was during Covid. Everything was happening on Zoom call. A common friend told us (me and Badshah) that Sri Sri Ravishankar ji would talk to us and we could ask him questions.’ Kapil said, ‘Ravishankar ji asked Badshah to sing one of his songs. After this, he rapped for a long time, which Ravishankar ji heard. Later he said, ‘Now, sing it’. Badshah further said, ‘I sang the Independence Day rap very well. He was looking at me and then he said, ‘Now sing it for us’.
Karan Aujla wrote the song ‘Goat’ in 10 minutes
Badshah’s music style includes Indian pop, hip-hop, rap and synthwave. Many of his tracks are hits, including ‘Saturday Saturday’, ‘Proper Patola’, ‘DJ Wale Babu’, ‘Mercy’, ‘Genda Phool’, ‘Paani Paani’ and ‘Gone Girl’. In the same episode, singer Karan Aujla revealed that he wrote Diljit Dosanjh’s song ‘Goat’, released in 2020, in just 10 minutes. Talking about Karan, Kapil said, ‘Diljit paaji’s song ‘Goat’ is, he wrote it in just 10 minutes.’
Kapil Sharma’s funny style
Kapil jokingly asked Karan, ‘Paaji, we go to the restaurant and we ask them to bring tea. If they bring tea immediately, we doubt whether the tea is boiled properly or whether they have given it old. When you gave the song to Diljit paaji in 10 minutes, did he take it happily or did he ask you to improve it?’ Karan said, ‘I had written the song in 10 minutes, but thinking this, I sent it after a few hours. I wanted him to feel that I am serious.’ ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’ will air on Netflix on Saturday.
