They are helping those people overcome difficult times by donating, who have lost everything due to the devastating floods and landslides. Now superstar Prabhas has come forward to help the victims.
The actor has donated Rs 2 crore to the Kerala Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to help the victims of the landslide in Wayanad. On July 30, landslides occurred in several villages including Panjirimattam, Mundakkai, Choorlamala, in which more than 400 people have lost their lives, while more than 150 people are still missing. A fan club account of the actor shared a poster on X with the announcement. The caption of the post reads, ‘Prabhas donates Rs 2 crore to Kerala CM Relief Fund to help the victims of Wayanad landslide. A man with a heart of gold.’

The search operation in the affected areas has been going on for more than a week. It is being said that more people are buried under the soil. According to the report of the Agriculture Department, 310 hectares of agricultural land has been destroyed in many areas like Choorlammala, Attmala and Mundakkai. In this case, the minister of the department K Krishnankutty has announced that electricity bills will not be collected for the next six months in the areas affected by the landslide. He also said that about 1139 consumers will benefit from this.
Chief Minister got angry due to spreading of wrong information
According to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, some people are spreading misinformation claiming that the Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund (CMDRF) lacks transparency. He said in this regard, ‘It is completely wrong to spread such misinformation during one of the biggest disasters the state has ever seen. Donations to the relief fund are deposited in an account under the supervision of the Finance Secretary. Money from the relief fund cannot be used without the knowledge and seal of the Finance Secretary.
Film celebrities helped the victims
Film personalities and industrialists are donating money to the Kerala Chief Minister Relief Fund to help those affected by the landslide. Before Prabhas, Chiranjeevi and his son Ram Charan had contributed Rs 1 crore to the Kerala CM Relief Fund. Allu Arjun donated Rs 50 lakh, while Rashmika Mandanna contributed Rs 10 lakh to the relief efforts.
