Vivek Oberoi, son of veteran actor Suresh Oberoi, started his acting career in the year 2002 with Ram Gopal Varma’s film ‘Company’.
In an interview, Suresh told that he struggled a lot to get his son launched. He used to sit outside the producers’ offices with Vivek’s photo. Just in the hope that someone would launch Vivek.

I trained him since childhood: Suresh
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Suresh was asked what was Vivek’s reaction when he became an actor like him? In response to this, Suresh said, ‘I have trained him to become an actor since childhood. I made him do stage shows, and also sent him to take acting classes with my senior actors from FTII.’
Ramu gave a big role in ‘Company’
I have even struggled for Vivek. I used to sit outside the producers’ offices with his photo in my hand. This was like a second struggle for me.
Director Ram Gopal Varma also had his office in these offices and eventually it was Ramu who gave Vivek his first big role in ‘Company’.
Vivek made his Bollywood debut with Ajay Devgan starrer ‘Company’, released in 2003.
‘People can’t digest others’ success’
In the same interview, Suresh also talked about the bad phase of Vivek’s career. He said that Vivek is very strong and he has taken very good care of himself. After holding a press conference against Salman Khan, his career went through a lot of ups and downs.
If someone else had been in Vivek’s place in that situation, he would have either drowned in alcohol or become a drug addict.
At that time, everyone turned against him. Not just the media, but many actors in the industry also broke off their ties with him. Sometimes when people get quick success, some people are unable to digest it.
It is said that there was a fight between Vivek and Salman because of actress Aishwarya Rai.

Let us tell you that on 1 April 2003, Vivek held a press conference against Salman. During this, Vivek had told that Salman called him 41 times from 12:30 am to 5 am on 29 March (2003). He was threatened with death and was abused.
It is said that Salman did all this because Vivek was working on a film with Aishwarya Rai at that time. There was a buzz that the two were getting closer during the shooting of this film.
