Mumbai. The interesting trailer of Vijay Sethupathi’s 50th film ‘Maharaja’ has been released. The film is directed by Nithilan Saminathan. Apart from Vijay Sethupathi, the film also stars Bollywood director-actor Anurag Kashyap. It is a suspense-thriller. There was excitement about the film ever since the poster of the film was released. Now the trailer has increased people’s impatience. Vijay is playing the title role ‘Maharaja’ in the film. Maharaja is an ordinary barber of Chennai KK Nagar.
In the trailer of ‘Maharaja’, it can be seen that Vijay Sethupathi’s character of barber works honestly. But suddenly he starts asking people about Lakshmi. His Lakshmi is lost somewhere. He even goes to the police station to file an FIR to find this Lakshmi.
There is suspense throughout the trailer about Laxmi. The police get upset and confused as he tells them that it is not gold, money, documents or his sister, wife and child. He even files an FIR and keeps making gestures to tell what Laxmi is, but no one understands him. He is even thrown out of the police station.
Then as the trailer progresses, the Maharaja, who appears innocent in the beginning, becomes more and more dangerous. Then suddenly Anugra Kashyap is shown. She probably has a negative role in the film. Although she is mostly shown from the back, but in the shot in which she is shown looking towards the camera, she looks dangerous.
The release date of ‘Maharaja’ has not been decided yet. The film also stars Mamta Mohandas, Natti (Nataraj), Bharathiraja, Abhirami, Singampuli and Kalki. Anurag Kashyap and Vijay Sethupathi both expressed their excitement by sharing the trailer on their social media accounts.
