Vijay Sethupathi is counted among the best actors in the industry. In an interview, he revealed that he misses the old days. Vijay said that he never had any dreams. He only wanted to get out of poverty. Before becoming an actor, Vijay was working as an accountant in Dubai. During the interview, he was asked who he misses the most in his life.
On this he said- I remember myself. There was a boy who was very innocent and had no dreams. He had no idea what he was going to do in his life. When he was studying in the first year of college, he did not know what the syllabus of the second year was. My friends used to tell me that this is the syllabus of the second year.
I was not good at either sports or studies. I did not even have a girlfriend. Because I was very shy and never talked to them. But wanted to do something big in life. However, he did not know how to do it. His only goal was to come out of poverty. The man was so innocent. I miss myself.
Vijay used to do many jobs during his college days
Vijay had told in his old interview that he used to do many jobs during his college days. He also worked as a salesman, cashier and phone booth operator during his studies. After graduating in commerce, Vijay joined a wholesale cement business. After this, he went to Dubai and started working as an accountant. Because in Dubai he got four times more salary than he was getting in India. But in the end, he returned to India, dissatisfied with his work.
After returning to India in 2003, he got married and started interior decoration business with his friends. Later, he joined a marketing company. Vijay told Forbes- If my business had worked out, I would never have become an actor.
Around this time, he started a 9-5 job as an accountant in a theatre company called Kuthu-P-Pattaram. He started focusing on plays and thought he might try his luck in acting. I had no direction or any ambition in life. I just wanted a house to live in and a car. That was all I thought of in life.
