Kush Shah, who played the character of Goli in the TV show ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma’, has said goodbye to the show after 16 years. A few months ago, Kush had denied the news of leaving the show. However, now he himself has given this information in a video.

In the video, Kush told his fans- ‘When this show started, you and I met for the first time, I was very young. You have given me a lot of love since then. This family has given me as much love as you have. I have made a lot of memories here. I have had a lot of fun here.’

He further said, ‘I have spent my childhood here. I want to thank the producer of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Mr. Asit Kumar Modi. He trusted me a lot, made my character so interesting and always motivated me. It is because of his trust that I could become Kush Goli today.’

Kush cut the cake with the entire cast of ‘Tarak Mehta’. Asit Modi praised him and said that Goli has been a part of Gokuldham Society since childhood and he has always maintained consistency in his character.

Later, Kush got emotional. He promised to make everyone proud. He called his 16-year journey a beautiful one and introduced the new Goli.

He further said, ‘Remembering your love, I say goodbye to this show. But yes, only I, Kush Shah, am saying goodbye. Your Goli will remain the same. The same happiness, the same laughter, the same mischief. In Tarak, the actor can change, but not the character.’

Several actors have left the show in the past. These include Disha Vakani (Dayaben), Neha Mehta (Anjali Bhabhi), Gurcharan Singh (Sodhi), Bhavya Gandhi (old Tappu), Jennifer Mistry (Roshan Bhabhi) and Shailesh Lodha (Tarak Mehta).
