Doordarshan has been the first visual and major medium of Indian entertainment. It made shows like ‘Ramayan’, ‘Mahabharat’, ‘Rangoli’, ‘Buniyaad’, ‘Hum Log’. Such shows were prevalent in the 80-90s. At that time, there were no mediums of entertainment like private channels, multiplexes and OTT like today. ‘Ramayana’ and ‘Mahabharata’ are discussed even today. But there was also a show which aired on Doordarshan from 1990 to 2001. This show, which ran for 10 years, had 415 episodes. This show also gave a great actress and director to Bollywood.
