New Delhi: Vijay Thalapathy starrer film ‘GOAT’ i.e. The Greatest of All Time is one of the most awaited films of Tamil for which the actor’s fans have been eagerly waiting for a long time, according to the information, the shooting of the film is moving towards completion. And its trailer will be released soon. The film has not even been released yet, but the business of ‘GOAT’ has started becoming profitable and the producers are finalizing their partners. Recently it has been revealed that ‘GOAT’ manufacturers have now locked their satellite partners and the satellite rights have been sold at huge prices.
Satellite rights sold for Rs 93 crore
According to a report in IndiaGlitz Tamil, the makers have sealed satellite shoots for all languages with a national television partner. It is being told that Vijay’s next release Satellites Riots has been sold for Rs 93 crore. Let us tell you that ‘GOAT’ has fetched a slightly higher price for its satellite rights than Vijay’s previous release ‘Leo’ and the film is preparing to recreate the record of a Tamil film in the pre-release business.
Huge amount received from digital rights also
The digital rights of ‘GOAT’ were already sold at high rates and the film is already a table profit for the producers. It is noteworthy that the streaming rights of the film have been acquired by Netflix. The OTT platform has signed a deal worth Rs 125 crore (US$16 million) for the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada-language versions, while it has given a total of Rs 25 crore (US$3.1 million) for the Hindi version. It is heard that the satellite rights were acquired by Zee Tamil. If we include the amount of digital and satellite rights, till now the makers have earned Rs 243 from the film.
Vijay will be in double role in ‘GOAT’
‘GOAT’ directed by Venkat Prabhu is said to be a time travel based film and Vijay will be seen playing a double role in it. The multi-starrer film has 14 actors like Srinidhi Shetty, Prabhu Deva, Prashant, Sneha, Laila, Ajmal, Mohan, Jayaram, Vaibhav and Premgi Amaren. While Yuvan Shankar is giving its music. The first single from the film ‘Whistle Podu’ is already available on musical platforms and the second single track from the film is expected to be released in June. ‘GOAT’ is releasing in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages, and the film will also be dubbed in Malayalam and Kannada versions for satellite.
