The actress told NDTV that, ‘While fighting a disease like cancer, I realized how body and mind are interconnected. They are trustworthy. Even now sometimes I work in depression. To be honest, even during the shooting of Hiramandi, it troubled me so much, my mood changed… and all I was saying was that ‘after recovering from this phase, I will have to pay more attention to my health.’

Rekha was offered the role of Mallikajan
Expressing her views, Manisha further said that she was not sure how she would be able to work during the shooting. But Bhansali understood this very well. In an interview given to Filmygyan, she told that before her, Rekha was approached for the role of Mallika Jaan 18 years ago. But now seeing Manisha in this role, he praised the actress a lot. He also told that Rekha was very happy after seeing his character.
Let us tell you that in this series, Manisha has tried her best to properly understand the physical movements and mannerisms of Mallikajan. Especially for a mehendi scene, Manisha remained sitting at one place for 7 hours. He had to shoot for 12 hours for this series.
