Anurag Kashyap’s daughter Alia Kashyap and Imtiaz Ali’s daughter Ida Ali are very good friends. Both of them spent their childhood in the same building. Recently, Ida appeared as a guest on Alia’s podcast ‘Young, Dumb and Anxious’. During the conversation, both of them talked about a dangerous scene from their childhood.

In the podcast, Alia Kashyap said, Ida and my parents were going out together and Ida was staying at my house. During this time, my maternal grandmother was also present in the house. My maternal grandmother was looking after us and so was my sister, who was working in our house at that time.

Alia further said that after our parents left, the maid locked my grandmother in the room in the evening. She put tape on Ida and my mouth and tied our hands to the chair. We were crying and panicking because we thought we were going to die. She was stealing money and jewellery from the house.

Alia further said- The good thing is that my mother had forgotten some things and she came back after 15-20 minutes to get it, she saw everything. She called Papa and everyone else back. Alia said it was very dangerous. But if we had gone through it alone, it could have been worse. Ida and Alia said that both of them laugh now thinking about this incident.

Last year, Alia Kashyap got engaged to her long time boyfriend Shane Gregoire. Alia Kashyap is the daughter of filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and his first wife Aarti Bajaj. Alia is a YouTuber by profession. Alia and her boyfriend Shane Gregoire were dating for a long time. Shane proposed to Alia in Bali, Indonesia. She told in her YouTube video that Shane secretly recorded a video of him proposing to her. Alia found Shane doing this very romantic.

Aarti and Anurag got married in 2003 and both got divorced in 2009. Since then Anurag has been raising his daughter Alia alone. Anurag married actress Kalki Koechlin in 2011, but this marriage also did not last long and both separated in 2015.
