New Delhi. The production of ‘The Angry Birds Movie 3’ has been announced. The third film in the series will continue the adventures of Red and Chuck. Jason Sudeikis will once again be the voice of Red and Josh Gad will return as the voice of Chuck. DNEG Animation is going to handle the animation for this film. However, more casting related news will also be announced soon.
‘The Angry Birds Movie 3’ comes after the success of the first two Angry Birds films, which grossed over $500 million worldwide and also performed well on streaming platforms, indicating that there is a huge demand for a third film.
John Rice took over the direction
‘Angry Birds Movie 3’ is being directed by John Rice, who has worked on ‘Angry Birds’, ‘Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe’. While, the screenplay writer of the film is Thurop Van Orman, who has worked on ‘Angry Birds 2’, ‘Adventure Time’ and ‘Flapjack’. He will also be an executive producer along with Toru Nakahara, who has worked on ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’, ‘Sonic Prime’ and ‘Golden Axe’.
A film can be made on the stories of games
Rovio and Sega are producing the film in collaboration with Namit Malhotra and his company Prime Focus Studios. Prime Focus Studios recently co-produced ‘The Garfield’ movie with Alcon Entertainment. Alexandre Pelletier-Normand, CEO of Rovio Entertainment, said, “The Angry Birds brand is very popular and the new Angry Birds adventure shows that the stories in our games can easily be turned into movies and other things.”
The colorful world of Angry Birds will be seen in the film
He further said, ‘Rovio is committed to creating fun entertainment on different platforms. We are excited to return to the colorful world of Angry Birds with our new partners.’ It is known that the ‘Angry Birds’ movie released in 2016 was number 1 in 50 countries and it earned more than 350 million dollars at the box office.
