There were many reports of her differences with Sharmila Tagore. But now the actress herself has revealed that there was no rift between them.
Recently, Mumtaz has denied any rift with Sharmila Tagore. But she says that at that time she did not have time to talk to any actress. Mumtaz has given many hit films in her career. Especially her pairing with Rajesh Khanna was very much liked. In one of her old interviews, she had also revealed that Rajesh Khanna considered her his right hand.

I didn’t have time to talk to anyone
In an interview given to Rediff, Mumtaz said, ‘I respect Sharmila Tagore ji a lot. She is much more educated and talented than me. I started working at the age of eight, so I learned everything while working. As far as the differences with her are concerned, not only Sharmila but I was so busy in my work that I did not have time to talk to anyone.’
I have worked a lot with Kaka
While sharing her views, Mumtaz said, I have worked in more films with Kaka (Rajesh Khanna) than Sharmila ji. It was God’s blessing that none of my films with Kaka flopped. Sharmila ji had flop films with him. But I have none. She further said that when Rajesh Khanna worked with both the actresses, he was possessive about them. But he never did anything to provoke between us.
Let us tell you that the pair of Rajesh Khanna and Mumtaz was very popular in that era. Both of them have worked together in more than 10 films. Whenever both of them appeared on screen, they created history at the box office.
