Gurucharan Singh left for Mumbai from his home in Delhi on 22 April. But, neither reached the airport nor returned home.
‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ actor Gurcharan Singh returned to his home on Friday after three weeks. He was missing since April 22. According to Delhi Police, Gurucharan Singh told during interrogation that he had left worldly affairs and gone on a spiritual journey.
He said that in these three weeks he visited Gurudwaras of many cities including Amritsar, Ludhiana. Later he realized that he should return home, so he returned.
He left for Mumbai from his home in Delhi on April 22; But neither reached the airport nor returned home. After this, Delhi Police registered a case of kidnapping and started investigation.
Gurucharan was struggling with financial crisis
Initial investigation revealed that Gurucharan was going to get married soon. Not only this, he was also struggling with financial crisis. Police said that Gurucharan had withdrawn Rs 7,000 from the ATM on April 22, after which his phone was switched off. His last location was found just a few kilometers away from his home in Palam, Delhi.
Left the show after dispute with producer
Gurucharan Singh remained a part of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ from its inception till 2013. Later, due to some dispute with producer Asit Modi, he left the show.
However, by then he had become so popular that on public demand the producers had to bring him back in the show. After making a comeback, he did this show for 6 years.
After this, Gurucharan left the show in 2020 to take care of his father during the lockdown. After staying away from acting, Gurucharan lives with his parents in Delhi.
