New Delhi. Filmmaker Saurav Gupta has made a serious allegation against Sunny Deol. In his allegation, he said that Sunny Deol had taken money from him in advance to do a film in 2016. Along with this, he had promised that he would shoot his film very soon but even after 8 years, Sunny went back on his promise and did not return his money. He has also left the film.
Talking to HT City, Saurabh Gupta said that Sunny Deol is a fraud. He further said that Sunny had signed a deal in the year 2016. According to this deal, he was going to work in a film for which he had asked for a fee of 4 crores. Saurabh had given him 1 crore rupees in advance for the film. But instead of starting the film, he did the film Poster Boys in the year 2017. He kept asking for more money from me and till now we have given him 2.55 crores rupees. He also made me give money to another director and booked Filmistan Studio.
Did Sunny Deol change the agreement paper?
Saurav Gupta says that Sunny had made a fake agreement with his company in the year 2023. He said, ‘When we read the agreement, we saw that he had changed the middle page where the fee amount was 4 crores, the fee was increased to 8 crores. Not only this, the profit was also reduced to 2 crores. Saurav further said that he has filed a complaint against Sunny with the police. The police have also sent a notice to Sunny on April 30. A letter came from his office that he is out on the day he has been called.
Filmmaker Sunil Darshan in support of Saurav Gupta
Apart from Saurav Gupta, filmmaker Sunil Darshan also claimed that he too has faced similar problem with Sunny. Sunil Darshan alleged that Sunny Deol acquired the rights of my film ‘Ajay’ (1996) for foreign distribution and made only partial payment. The rest was never paid. Later, Sunny requested me to work on a project with him and said, ‘Trust me, help me’ and asked me to pay him again.
