When asked what was his wife Sulfath Kutty’s reaction to his decision to enter the movies, he said, ‘Initially, she was not ready for it. But naturally, she loves me. Naturally she will also start liking my choices, burx . I have been in the film industry for the last 42 years, she was tolerating me.’ Mammootty and Sulfath Kutty had an arranged marriage in 1979.
