After the wedding invite of Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal got leaked, now Shatrughan Sinha has given his reaction on the wedding news.
He said that he will neither confirm nor deny the news of the marriage but if it happens then he will be the happiest person.
Apart from daughter Sonakshi, Shatrughan also has two sons Luv and Kush.
Shatrughna said- ‘I have only one daughter’
Shatrughan Sinha said in an interview to Times of India, ‘I will neither confirm nor deny the wedding news. Time will tell what will happen next. Sonakshi always has my blessings. She is the apple of my eye. She is my only daughter and is very close to me. I feel proud to be Sonakshi’s father because over the years she has improved a lot as an actress. From ‘Lootera’ to ‘Dahaad’ and now ‘Heeramandi’, she has proved that she is a great actress.’
‘Sonakshi has the right to choose her partner’
Shatrughan further said, ‘If my daughter is getting married then my blessings are with her. I will support her decision and choice. Sonakshi has the right to choose her partner. I will be the happiest on her marriage. I wish her all the best. I have only one daughter.’
Zaheer-Sonakshi met at a party of Salman Khan after which both of them started dating each other.
Shatrughan had earlier said- ‘I do not know’
Earlier, when Shatrughan Sinha was asked about Sonakshi’s marriage, he had said that he had no information about it.
In an interview to Zoom, Shatrughan had said, ‘So far, I have only as much information about my daughter’s marriage as I have read in the media. I have not yet spoken to Sonakshi about this. Nor has she given me any information about this yet.’
The actor further said, ‘Whenever Sonakshi talks to me about this, my blessings will be with her. We want her to get all the happiness in the world. Right now, all I can say is that nowadays children do not take the consent of their parents, they just inform them. We are also waiting for when we will be told about this marriage.’
Registered marriage on 23 June
According to a Zoom report, Sonakshi and Zaheer will have a registered marriage on June 23, followed by a wedding party. Sonakshi’s friend said, ‘I have received an invitation to attend the wedding celebrations on June 23. As far as I know, both of them will have a registered marriage on the morning of June 23. There is no mention of the wedding rituals in the invitation, only a party is mentioned. The viral wedding invite also mentions the wedding on June 23 and after that there will be a wedding party from 8 pm.
