Shabana Azmi has once again reacted to the Kangana Ranaut slap incident. Shabana said that personal ideology should never come in the way of what is right. Shabana said that she was the only person who raised her voice against the ban on the Marathi play ‘Me Nathuram Godse Boltoy’.
Shabana said that she wanted this play to be shown on stage. Even though she did not agree with Nathuram’s ideas. In the same context, she does not agree with Kangana’s ideas either, but what happened to her is not right at all.

It was revealed that the accused female constable was angry with Kangana’s statement on the farmers’ movement. After this incident, Shabana tweeted in support of Kangana. There has always been bitterness with Kangana
Shabana Azmi and her husband Javed Akhtar have always been in opposing positions with Kangana. There is even a defamation case going on between Javed Akhtar and Kangana. However, when the slapping incident happened with Kangana, Shabana Azmi supported her.

Shabana wants to say here that she does not believe in the ideas of Nathuram Godse, but when it came to the play based on his life, she was in support of its performance. This is because she does not want any harm to art.
