New Delhi: A young Malayalam actress has recently complained to the police station that film director Omar Lulu raped her several times. The police have recorded the statement of the actress in the incident. The actress’s complaint states that she was tortured several times after being given a chance in the film. However, Nedumbassery police has not confirmed the registration of a case on the complaint.
According to the information received, the complaint lodged with the Kochi City Police was later handed over to the Nedumbassery Police. The complaint states that between January and April last year, Omar Lulu raped her at different places by pretending to be her friend and promising her a chance in the film. At the same time, Omar Lulu replied that there is personal enmity behind the case. Omar Lulu said that he had a deep friendship with the actress and the reason behind the complaint was resentment over the end of the friendship. Omar Lulu alleged that the complaint is also a part of blackmailing to extort money. Let us tell you that this is the same Omar Lulu who made a film named Oru Adar Love with actress Priya Prakash, famous in the country and abroad as Wink Girl, and later he also had a dispute with the heroine of his film.
Films directed by Omar Lulu include Happy Wedding, Chunks, Oru Adar Love, Dhamaka and Good Time. Omar Lulu was also a wild card entry in Asianet’s reality show Bigg Boss Season 5. Kozhikode Excise Range had filed a complaint after footage of MDMA use was found in the trailer of Omar Lulu’s film ‘Nada Samad’. The excise complaint stated that it promotes drug use and gives a wrong message to society. The film was then removed from theaters three days after its release.
