Bollywood actress Richa Chadha is in the news these days due to the series ‘Hiramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’. According to Richa, she took 99 retakes for a dance sequence in a song ‘Masoom Dil Hai Mera’ from this series, which was later not included in the series. Now her co-star Jayati Bhatia has told the story behind this.

In an interview to Bollywood Now, Jayati said, ‘I came to know about the famous 99 takes when my shoot got cancelled the next day. Someone told me – something big happened yesterday. Bhansali sir took 99 takes with Richa, he was not stopping. She was crying, she was very upset. I asked – 99 takes? Why and how?’

Jayati said that she liked Richa’s performance in the series so much that when the first two episodes were shown in the premiere, she did not get up from her seat for some time after watching her acting. Jayati played the character of Fatto in the show.

Bhansali also talked about retake

Recently, in an interview with India Today, Sanjay Leela Bhansali talked about his shooting experience with Richa.

He said about shooting the song ‘Masoom Dil Hai Mera’ with Richa, ‘It was a very special moment but Richa was not able to perform properly. She was trying but what I wanted was not happening in the shot. Then I got upset. I told her, you rehearsed but still it is not happening, you are not able to understand what I want. I got angry and she also got upset. She was crying.

Talking about Richa’s upcoming projects, after ‘Heeramandi’, now she will be seen in ‘Mirzapur 3’ and ‘Metro In Dinon’.
