New Delhi. Rakul Preet Singh’s brother Aman Preet and 4 others were arrested by Hyderabad Police on Monday in the drugs case. The actress’s brother Aman was arrested in a joint operation of the Narcotics Bureau and Rajendra Nagar SOT Police. Hyderabad Police said that a total of 5 people have been detained in the drug peddling case. In this investigation, it was found that Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh’s brother was among the 13 people who took drugs and were found positive in the test.
Before brother Aman, Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh has also been caught in a drugs case. The actress was caught by the ED. In 2021, the actress was summoned by the ED after which she had to record an official statement. The actress was called under a money laundering investigation in connection with a high-end drugs racket of 2017.
In July 2017, the drug racket was exposed and several cases related to drug smuggling were registered. In this investigation, the names of many foreign nationals including stars of the Telugu film industry also came to light and the actress was summoned in this case. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Excise Department of Telangana had recorded the statements of about 10 well-known Tollywood stars in its investigation. Along with this, the drivers of these 10 actor-directors were also interrogated for hours and their samples were also taken.
Rakul was given a clean chit
In this case, actress Rakul Preet Singh had recorded her statement before the ED and also shared the complete details of her bank account. After investigating the entire case, the actress was given a clean chit, but now after many years, the police has once again tightened the noose on the actress’s brother.
