Questions raised on Diljit Dosanjh not wearing turban in ‘Chamkila’, Amy Virk gave a big statement, said- ‘He is there for money…’

New Delhi. Diljit Dosanjh garnered a lot of praise for his acting in the biopic of Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila. In this film, he played the lead role of singer Amar Singh Chamkila. In this film directed by Imtiaz Ali, Diljit Dosanjh was seen with short hair and without a turban. Punjabi rapper Naseeb raised questions on the actor not wearing a turban in the film and now Punjabi singer and actor Amy Virk has also jumped into this debate.

Amy Virk has supported actor Diljit Dosanjh for wearing a turban in the film. In an interview to India Today, Amy said, ‘That film (Amar Singh Chamkila) was such in which Diljit had to show that look. That film was based on Amar Singh Chamkila and we all know that he had cut his hair, but he used to wear a turban sometimes.’

The actor further supported Diljit Dosanjh and said, ‘Diljit did not cut his hair for money in the film nor did he remove his turban for money. Rather we should see where he has taken the turban from. He wore a turban while performing at Coachella and the entire stadium was full because of him.’

Let us tell you, Imtiaz Ali had revealed in one of his interviews that Diljit did not cut his hair for his film but wore a wig. In a conversation with Radio Nasha, Imtiaz Ali had said, ‘I do not want to share his personal information, but he wore a wig in the film and that wig was just like his turban’. Imtiaz Ali had told that with the help of a wig, Diljit portrayed the character of Amar Singh Chamkila with full intensity.
