PM Modi suddenly called Mohanlal, invited him to the swearing-in ceremony, the superstar’s reaction surprised everyone

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi called superstar Mohanlal and invited him to attend the swearing-in ceremony to be held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday, June 9. However, due to being busy shooting for his upcoming film, the star expressed his inability to attend the event. Obviously, the superstar’s reaction to the invitation is surprising.

Incidentally, Suresh Gopi, Kerala’s only BJP MP from Thrissur and Mohanlal’s aide, had received a similar call from PM Modi in 2014, asking him to attend his swearing-in ceremony. Gopi had accepted the invitation. Gopi was nominated to the Rajya Sabha in 2016.

After his term ended last year, Gopi became active in his profession and this year he was asked to contest the Lok Sabha elections from Thrissur, which he won. He became the first BJP Lok Sabha member from Kerala. PM Modi visited Thrissur earlier this year. Malayalam actors Mammootty and Mohanlal congratulated Suresh Gopi on his victory.

Suresh Gopi defeated VS Sunilkumar in a close contest
Mohanlal shared Suresh Gopi’s picture and congratulated him on his victory. It is noteworthy that Gopi defeated CPI leader VS Sunilkumar in a close contest in the Lok Sabha elections. According to the Election Commission, Suresh Gopi got 4,12,338 votes, while 3,37,652 votes were cast in favour of VS Sunilkumar.

64-year-old Mohanlal has worked in about 360 films in his career so far. He will be seen in many films in the future as well. The superstar’s film whose release the audience is most waiting for is ‘Empuraan’. Apart from this, he has ‘Barroz’, ‘Kannappa’, ‘Vrushabha’ and ‘Mohanlal 360’.
