‘Panchayat’ fame actor Pankaj Jha has targeted Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi. He has indirectly accused the actor of doing politics.
Jha says that there are many actors in the industry who glamorize their struggles by snatching work from other actors.

‘I am not bothered by the politics behind me’
In an interview with Digital Commentary, Pankaj was asked whether he feels that there was politics played with him regarding the role in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’?
In response to this, Jha said, ‘If politics happens behind my back, it doesn’t matter to me. Those who do politics behind someone’s back are usually cowards, but if the other person’s politics harms me, then the person doing politics has won.’
‘After two days I found out that someone else was playing that role’
Sharing this incident, Jha said- ‘I had gone to Patna for the shooting of a film. There I got a message from casting director Mukesh Chhabra that he wanted to cast me in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’.
When I returned after two days of shooting for some other project, I came to know that the Wasseypur role had been given to someone else.
Pankaj Tripathi played the role of Sultan in Gangs of Wasseypur, which was first offered to Pankaj Jha.
Pankaj Tripathi’s luck changed with ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’
Let us tell you that Jha had worked with Anurag in films like ‘Black Friday’ and ‘Gulaal’. After this, Anurag also approached Jha for the role of Sultan in the film ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ released in 2012. However, later this role was played by Pankaj Tripathi and this character changed his fate.
He said- some people steal slippers
Further in the interview, Jha, while pointing towards Pankaj Tripathi, also said that some people steal someone’s slippers and say that he is a very big actor for us, that is why we stole his slippers.
Let us tell you that Manoj Bajpayee once came to stay at the hotel where Pankaj Tripathi used to work during his struggling days. Manoj had forgotten his slippers in the hotel which Pankaj had kept. Tripathi had narrated this incident in an interview.

Described himself as a director making actor
In the conversation, apart from Pankaj, Jha has also targeted director Anurag Kashyap. Calling himself a director making actor, he said, ‘If films like ‘Satya’ and ‘Gulaal’ have made careers of actors, then many actors have also made careers of directors.
But the people here are very slimy. They have no backbone. They can’t even speak their own words. Some directors are in such a bad condition that they themselves have no work. They are working on 36 different projects.

Pankaj Jha has been active in the industry since 2001. He first appeared in Mira Nair’s film ‘Monsoon Wedding’. Apart from this, he has also worked in films like ‘Company’, ‘Haasil’ and ‘Atrangi Re’.
In the recently released season 3 of the web series Panchayat, he is seen in the role of MLA Chandrakishore Singh.
